This one was done at Lloyd's Park, a spot that I just love and have painted many times over the four years that I have been plein air painting in oils. It is a wetland marsh just outside Calgary that is home to billions of birds of all kinds. The noise when you get out of the car incredible. It really is a special place, and the patterns are very interesting and always changing. I really liked how the panel shows through in this one, and its simple, abstract nature.
