"Grace #2", encaustic painting by Sharon Lynn Williams

"Grace #2", 7 x 12" encaustic painting on board

This is one of a figurative series I have been exploring in wax. You can't tell it from this bad photo, but the coloured section is heavily textured in multiple colours. This painting sold at the recent Calyx show -the customer bought it for her neice named Grace, who just happens to have the nickname "Bee"! Talk about a match.

Took a workshop in encaustic with Arlene Westen Evans a couple of weekends ago. Interesting, but...coating fabric with wax isn't something I can cotton onto. Like your piece, though!

P.S. the word ID for this post is "plexorT graceful". How apt!
