I did this painting while out on my own in the late afternoon, which is my favorite time to paint outside as the light is so lovely. There seemed to be a blue haze that saturated the scene in contrast with the sharp yellow greens of the grasses, and I am really happy that I was able to capture that. This is the view westward from beside the Leighton school houses. Unfortunately you can't paint on the grounds after 4pm anymore as people were abusing the property. Bummer.
