"Cathedral from Schaeffer Meadows", 9 x 12", plein air oil
$595.00 beautifully framed, free shipping and handling
This is my last painting from Lake O'Hara. We had to leave to catch the bus in a couple of hours so we decided to give one last shot at grabbing a painting before the rain that was threatening really came down.We managed to get a spot out of the cold wind and quickly got this in. And so ends another fabulous painting trip in the most beautiful of all places Rockies.
Enjoy!

Glad the weather held! Nice piece - great depth and color!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you start and end with the same mountain scene. I have gone out field sketching recently and can really appreciate how nice it is to work outside. You must have been very cold with the snow about. I found holding my sketch book in windy weather hard enough. I am very impressed with the work from your vacation.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I like your clouds. Could it be because you had your eye on them? I think they got a lot of attention! Your Rockies are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou got it Susan! Thanks for your kind comments Murray. Can't wait until next year/
ReplyDeleteThank you Caroline. It can be hard at times but it is so infinitely worth it!
