"Geraniums -La Casacce", plein air oil, 8 x 10"
SOLD
Our first full day to paint was on Sunday, and because of all the travel, we stayed at the villa. The morning was bright and sunny when I painted this little piece -the flowers in Italy are amazing! I was focusing on the use of colour in this one, trying to make the vivid red geraniums really pop, and finding a dull red/violet made them pop the most.
Enjoy!

Beautiful, Sharon! I love the colors in your shadows, and the texture of the wall. I also like how your flowers are suggested, rather than every little detail. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I hope now that my geraniums have acclimatized to being outside, they'll soon be as beautiful as these. :-) Travelling mercies!
