Once again I returned to one of my favorite places to paint to capture the light and colour at this country pond, which I recently found out is owned by a friend of mine. Apparently the show "Heartland" uses this beautiful spot to film in -I can certainly see why!

Hi Sharon -- I'm very curious to know where this pond is. If it's the pond I have in mind, it's along the lovely back road you can take to get up to the Leighton Centre. It's a great spot but there is no safe place to paint on the road side so I've never stopped there.
ReplyDeleteI also really enjoyed your Jasper and Icefields Parkway pieces. I have not been up that highway for years, it is spectacular!

Hi Holly: That is exactly the spot. The property is owned by Chris Harse, an artist herself. You can pull up along the roadside, there is room for a car there.
