Mid-November News From The Studio

Well I must admit, I have really slowed down after my crazy busy October. Note to self: Remember to pace myself and allow margin in my life! I don't have the stamina that I used to have, but people always say they are amazed with all the stuff I have going on, so I suppose I am right where I should be. However, I haven't picked up a brush much and that isn't so great. I usually find that it takes a while after a busy show month to want to get back into the studio. I have decided to allow for that, in the full trust that when I do return, it will be with a renewed vigor. I have spent some short spurts of time downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and skating -just to remember all the muscle groups I haven't used for the last several months!

Upcoming Shows

I am happy to announce that I have been selected as a featured artist at the Leighton Art Centre's brand new "Festive Foothills" show (previously called 'Christmas In The County'). I have 5 paintings in the in-person & online sections, and 5 framed paintings on the walls, which are shown below.  Click HERE and it will take you to the online sale.  The Leighton has been so pivotal in my art career for over 35 years and I really love to continue to support them.

Next up is the Mastrius Christmas Art Show.  This is very timely because I just love to paint snow and the theme of the show is 'what the holidays mean to you'. I will have the following 3 paintings in the show, and there will be LOTS of other work on offer. You can register to be notified when the show opens and that will also give you a chance to win this wonderful painting by Leslie Starr.

Next up is a brand new art show, The Curated Market.  On December 2nd & 3rd a group of 12 talented artists & makers will be presenting their creations at The Curated Market. This boutique market will be filled with unique artwork, hand crafted jewelry and stunning woodworks.  I will have a double booth there with lots of art in all price ranges, plus my NEW card packages. There are 12 different sets, so I am sure you will find at least one you will love! Meet & chat with the artists/artisans, view incredible work and find unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones.  Perhaps you will find a gift to give yourself! Located at the Palliser Bayview Pumphill Community Association (PBPCA) main hall, attached the the Nelly McClung School.  Lots of parking! Friday 5-9pm and Sat 10-6 pm.

And finally, the last event for 2022, is my third Annual "Pay What You Want" Christmas Sale. It runs online only via a silent auction bid system on my website. I will be sending you another newsletter about that at the end of the month, but please mark your calendars for Dec 2-5
