I went painting in Riley Park with friend Colleen O'Brien, and the poppies were fully in bloom and looking radiant in the sunshine. After I began this, the wind picked up a bit and the flower was tossed back and forth, making the painting process rather more difficult than usual. Couple that with changing light, and this was really an adventure. I am really pleased with how it came out, maybe because of all the challenges.
